SPLITBONE STUDIOS
Splitbone Studios started as a cruddy laptop and an old dusty mixer. As I learned more about the world of audio, I had an idea - after seeing what other studios offer and do, I wanted to offer a rather secluded, private studio that musicians could feel at home in. Located in St Clair Michigan (but moving locations eventually to a full house in the same woodsy area), Splitbone Studios is an in-home business that offers a wood paneled "workshop" where they can focus on the art they want to create their way, without the pressures studios/producers usually put on artists. Single owner, multiple services.

MIXING
Mixing is a lot like cooking - each element putting it's own flavor into the pot. Here at Splitbone, I'm dedicated to delivering top-notch mixing services that elevate the quality of your "flavor." I've learned to appreciate and understand the importance of striking the perfect balance of all elements in a track, ensuring that every "ingredient" harmonizes seamlessly.
PRODUCING
I've always had a thing about crafting original music in both writing and in production - it's my favorite part about this business. Working closely with artists and recording them in their rawest form, seeing what tricks or weird ways we can get a truly unique sound for their record or single. The recording process doesn't have to be stressful - it can be a crazy fun process and should be relaxed, creative, and intimate. Here at Splitbone, you can be yourself and get work done while having a blast in a great sounding environment - a cabin music workshop.
PODCASTS
Got an idea for a podcast? Splitbone Studios can be rented out by the hour to get it recorded, with me as your personal sound tech. Whether you want to just record the audio or make a full on production with a video - I've got you covered. If going the video route, you can bring a backdrop and chairs of your own or use what's available here as a cabin-like video setting (we can talk about setting). If you've got something to speak about or tell the world, we can make it happen.
MASTERING
Mastering is vital to the overall sound and quality of your mix. It's that final moment where you hear it back and say "this is ready for the world to hear and I can be proud of my work." It's also where you get the loudness (or even fullness) of a track on par with modern day music. Mastering with Splitbone is a surefire way to get your mixes in their best presentable form before its sent out to your chosen platforms.
THE WORKSHOP
Finding an affordable location is a hard thing these days - which is why for now, this company is being held in my home as a fully functioning studio with the live room and master room in one, treated to balance the needs of each (which was difficult to achieve, but worked nonetheless). This room was initially a garage turned into a second living room with full wooden paneling, which is amazing for capturing a "live" sound. When moving locations eventually, I will be building this exact room again on a larger scale to achieve similar (and even better) results with separated listening/live rooms. But for now, come enjoy the small cabin like room and get your creativity flowing in a comfortable environment.
